Interdisciplinary Design Minor

The Interdisciplinary Design Minor provides students with an introduction to design thinking, or a renewed perspective on design, according to their background. This interdisciplinary program enhances students’ learning opportunities at the U by making connections between traditional design courses and non-traditional views of design. It is open to undergraduates on the Twin Cities campuses, whether they are majors in a design field, or non-design majors. Many currently enrolled Design Minor students come from design-related fields in addition to journalism, retail merchandising, marketing and studio arts.
